Notice of Emissions and Inspection Non-Compliance
VAC was founded with the distinct purpose of researching, testing, and manufacturing vehicle components for racing applications on track and other off-road uses. These components are offered to the general public, but intended for the individuals, professionals, and teams who share our passion and profession of developing vehicles for off-highway, competition use.
VAC makes every reasonable effort to notify its consumers that its products are intended for racing and track applications as well as off-road usage. VAC makes no guarantee and offers no warranties that any of the products we offer are emissions, safety, or inspection compliant in your city, state, province, or county.
Removing, disabling, or altering in any way the emissions equipment on a pollution-controlled street vehicle is against both federal and state laws, according to location. The installation of devices, software, or tuning that trick, disable, or modify emissions controls and monitors on a pollution-controlled vehicle is also illegal.
Some of the products available from VAC Motorsports are not legal for sale/use in California on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle. Additionally, other states and jurisdictions have adopted or follow California (CARB) emissions regulations. Please check local and state regulations before product purchase to verify legality.
It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure that his/her vehicle(s) conforms to all federal, state, and local regulations. These regulations include emissions and safety regulations if the vehicle is to be used on roads and highways. We encourage all customers to have annual safety and equipment inspections to ensure that their car is maintaining peak operational conditions.
For all race and track-dedicated vehicles, VAC recommends that owners participate in safety and equipment inspections before and after each race event by experienced and qualified race mechanics. Additionally, VAC recommends that each vehicle adheres to the tech inspection guidelines issued by each racers’ sanctioning organization.
Please Note: VAC will not knowingly sell racing components for your street-use vehicles if we have determined that those components and/or their use, are in violation of federal and/or state laws. It is against the law for VAC to sell you racing components for use on street vehicles. It is also against the law for consumers to install racing components on their street-use vehicles.
VAC Has the right to verify a customer’s racing license, entry, or track participation prior to shipment and reserves the right to cancel any component orders that are not for legitimate racing or track purposes. If a customer has a permanently modified track or race car, VAC is happy to support your efforts and sell you the components required. Please do not insist that VAC break the law in selling components that are not street-legal for installation in street-use vehicles.
