Owners of the E46 M3 and S54 powered vehicles know; it has been a challenge for many tuners to improve on BMWs factory power output and delivery.
The CSL was BMWs ultimate achievement with the S54 offering true motor-sports performance on the street, or dominance on the track.
As an exact-replica of OEM, our CSL box utilizes the 200mm intake diameter, internal BMW Motorsport panel filter (click above to add), fitting for air temp sensor (included), and elimination of the mass airflow sensor as on the CSL.
This is an excellent match for our "CSL Killer" or Race engines. Can be fitted to the Z3M with minimal modification.

VAC Tech Notes:
The CSL airbox requires Specialized ECU tuning if standard BMW ECU is to be retained.
Compatible with custom BMW CSL software and also custom software that enables "Alpha/N" mode.
Note that we do not offer an HFM/AFM style airbox at this time as we feel the Alpha/N style tuning offers such an improvement in performance.

A: This is mostly used as an intake muffler, BMW used it for sound control and for sealing the intake at idle.
While BMW will still sell you this flapper door, many CSL owners have removed there door; it is unnecessary to fit to your car and can save you additional cost. All intake air is filtered as the CSL box has provisions for the filter inside the box.
A: Yes with the proper Alpha/N Software flash (that we can also provide). Engine functionality is just as reliable and smooth as the OEM BMW E46 M3 CSL with our excellent software.
A: No, it is for use with N/A tuning only.
A: Our kit is the most comprehensive available! It includes the needed fittings and sensors to be adapted to a non-CSL model that others who just sell boxes don't include.
This kit can be used with the standard E46 M3 bumper, or modified for use with the CSL M3 bumper & CSL-cold air plumbing. We also include a Cold Air Adapter so that you can use your OE Non-CSL cold air duct!
A:See our Race style airbox, it makes even more peek power, but due to its simpler shap it costs us less to make and we pass this onto you.
A:In volume and external appearance, yes our airbox is an exact replica of OE. However, our latest revision does not need the OE CSL
intake ducting and we have also adapted our version to use various types of
temperature sensors for different uses (weather the car is a factory CSL, Euro
or US type arrangement). We also offer a cold air duct that offers better
performance than OE.
