Break in is essential the most critical period in the life of your engine and determines everything from engine longevity to ultimate power output. At VAC we take every precaution to ensure that our celebrated engines are built with the most exacting tolerances, but that means nothing if we can't insure the health and safety of all components installed, and that proper seating of the rings takes place.
Utilizing the same high zinc and phosphorus formula as JGD original break-in oil, BR-30 Break-In Oil is available in a SAE 5W-30 viscosity for the tight clearance of modern engines. Good for everything from race engines to OEM rebuilds. Provides excellent ring sealing, and requires no additional additives. Good for full power pulls on the dyno, one day/night of racing or up to 400 miles on the street; this lets you break in your engine however you see fit.
Developed specifically for applications that are toughest on oil, no other motor oil provides this unique combination of lubricant chemistry and insures your fresh engine gets the best start it can.

| Why is special oil SO important to your engine?
Joe Gibbs is a famed engine builder for some of the worlds most successful race
teams. They found that today's lubricants are formulated specifically for
emissions, not to make your high performance street or racing engine last it's absolute longest...
All passenger car motor oils that meet modern API or European specifications are formulated to be compatible with your street car's emission control equipment and Federal EPA requirements
FIRST, without regard to effect on engines manufactured before these
specifications. While good for your Catalyst this has led to a reduction in formulated anti-wear chemistries like Zinc, Phosphorus and Sulfur in API rated engine oils, as well as an increase in detergents that actually wash away what little sacrificial lubrication is left. During break in, components must mate or wear together in such a way that the metals "become friends". A process that actually happens when components wear together in a controlled and deliberate manner. A manner that Joe Gibbs Break-In oil promotes, while insuring things that shouldn't wear, like camshafts with high seat pressures, don't.
