Clutch

Clutchmasters uses a high leverage design and tough friction materials, so pedal effort is comfortable and engagement is as smooth as possible while durable.
By adding a sprung hub disc, chatter and noise gained if adding a lightweight flywheel is greatly reduced or nearly eliminated in many applications.
ClutchMasters increase the clamping force on the pressure plate by changing the lever action which adds a minimal amount of pedal stiffness compared to other methods. Also, they replace the straps with beefier pieces and add an additional layer for good measure; this has proven to be the Achille's heel on most pressure plates (as we have found with other clutches) and is a must for cars that will receive any extended hard use.

Flywheel
As BMW's flywheel is dual-mass, it cannot be resurfaced. Its also unduly heavy and causes engine response to feel lazy. Clutchmasters HD Aluminum Flywheel offers superb response, modulation, and power holding from the N54 / N55 motor. Since the OE flywheel is so costly to replace, this makes the CM unit a perfect upgrade when its time for a clutch!

Clutch Masters 2-Piece Billet Aluminum Flywheels are made from the highest quality 6061-T6 aluminum. This material is chosen for its properties that are much more suitable for this application, with regards to heat dissipation and serviceability. The replaceable friction surface used is incredibly tough high carbon steel so there is strength where needed, and heat dissipation as well. This also allows mating with any type of clutch friction material without worry. The starter ring gears are made of high carbon heat-treated steel for long lasting durability. The unit is buttoned together with military grade fasteners to make the premier flywheel in the industry for the 335i application.
