About VAC Motorsports

VAC Motorsports as it is today is the combination of Verna's Auto Clinic (V.A.C.), established in 1984, and Milano Engine and Machine corp; a multi-generation specialist of machine work and engine building, established in 1963.

In the beginning, operating as a three-man shop specializing mostly in bodywork & restoration, Verna's by 1987 had added BMW automotive specialties and repair work to our many services. It wasn't long before we hit our stride with BMWs and decided that on top of maintaining and customizing we needed more of a challenge; so we entered the racing ranks.

After tracking locally for the early years, our first professional racing endeavors started in 1992, overseas in FIA-sanctioned rallies. We purpose built a Front Wheel Drive 1988 VW Golf (GTI 16V Model) Group-A Rally Car that entered competition in 1994. After just two years of hard work, we won the 1996 FIA F2 Group A Championship in the Middle East! Racing in these conditions teaches you many important racing lessons, including reliability and consistency.

The following years become even more exciting: Back home in Philadelphia in 1997, we expanded to become the modern VAC we are today, this time by acquiring a long-time neighbor and friend, Milano Engine and Machine.
The family-owned and run Milano Engine and Machine was established in 1963 and had continued building winning-power for all manner of engines since that time.
Paul Milano, a partner from the Milano-era, is still involved on a full-time basis as Chief Engine Builder and provides many years of experience and technical knowledge to VAC Motorsports. The Milano acquisition was an important one because it helped truly make us a "One Stop Race Shop." It also enabled us to become more competitive in both the sales and racing arenas due to our excellent quality control and turn around time. We had officially become 100% in-house.

Since that time, VAC once again expanded to operate a state of the art Body Shop, Full Service Repair shop, Full Engine & Manufacturing Machine Shop and provide new and used parts from a facility that covers more than 14,000 square feet. My brother, Armand Salloum, runs our repair and body shop and has the latest in frame equipment and paint technology.
He and his team have extensive experience repairing many BMW street cars, custom cars and race cars as well. The repair shop has very advanced factory-level diagnostics equipment, especially for complex late model BMWs. There’s no job that is too large or small for this crew.

Our machine shop currently features the latest and greatest in equipment, just a few include a RMC Boring Mill, Serdi Valve Machine, HAAS & Hurco CNC Mills, Automated grinding equipment, Romi and Doosan CNC Lathes, Crankshaft Balancer, a Flow Bench along with Solid Works and Mastercam CAD/CAM Software.
This is where we design and build Engines and Drivetrain Components and also design and manufacture our own line of VAC BMW Performance Parts that are used in High Performance and Racing applications around the world.

Our parts department stocks a large variety of BMW Performance Parts along with truly hardcore Racing Parts. We should be able to truly meet just about all your needs- when you need them. If you don't see what you need, don't hesitate to email us at sales@vacmotorsports.com. We welcome Hobbyists, Racers, and all end users alike as well as competitive pricing and know how for our Dealers, Repair Facilities and Race Shops.

As of 2010, we await the completion of our newest addition that is to become our dedicated "Race Development Shop". This wing will house an industrial clean room, engineering wing, two independent Chassis Dynos (A 2WD Dynopack & 4WD Mustang) as well as housing our new Engine Dyno facility. This important piece of the puzzle will give us even more faculty to provide the expert service and specialty work customers all over the world seek out.

After all of these years, above all, what is most important is that we have a courteous and knowledgeable staff that is willing to take the time to offer you quality parts and work at a fair price. With more than 46 years of experience in customer service and high performance, we can handle any of your requests and are dedicated to your total satisfaction.

Please take a few moments and browse through our catalog & photo gallery for a peak at some of our facility and various customer cars. Call or email us with your
special request or order from our product catalog. Thanks for visiting our site and we hope you’ll stop back again.

Sincerely,

Tony Salloum
President
